Tarpan Construction, LLC was the Prime Contractor on this recent disaster relief mission Corps of Engineers Memphis District. We were tasked with hauling and installing MHUs (Mobile Housing Units) to flood victims in the affected areas of the 2016 Flood. This included setting, blocking, skirting, all utility connections, building stairs/porches, and getting permits. An experienced team was assembled to tackle all the different trades on this project. Tarpan handled the management and logistics of the project. Additionally, Tarpan’s crew self-performed tasks such as step building and maintenance work. The environment is tough when working on disaster projects. You have to make decisions quickly, have excellent communication skills, positive cash flow, and be passionate about helping the flood victims….because that is/was the mission goal.
