Burchfield Park Waterline Replacement

Project Details
Tarpan Construction was selected as the Prime Contractor for the Department of the Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Mobile on November 1, 2024, for the Burchfield Waterline Replacement project in Adger, Alabama.
Awarded as a sole-source 8(a) contract, the $2,628,588.00 project replaced 18,000 LF of 3-inch water line that supplies both Burchfield Branch Park and the nearby Bankhead Lock and Dam. To address pressure issues associated with the park’s many elevation changes, the project included installing five (5) pressure-reducing valves (PRVs) along the water line. Additionally, we installed hydrants, flush valves, and provided an insulated casing for the line to cross a bridge. From day 1 to day 217, Tarpan crews were on-site, self-performing 100% of every item of work. This project showcases how diversified Tarpan can be. Our client was very complimentary at project completion, stating that our quality of work and management were “Exceptional.”.  So proud of the entire Tarpan Team for the work they performed and completed on this project; 12,569 man-hours were logged, with NO lost time.
